03 Dec Bhaji Shop set up mini–Christmas Market for local makers at Hagglers
Rather than just give you another festive wrap, the lovely folk at Bhaji Shop have gone one better this Christmas by offering up the area that would usually be used for seating customers as a free space for local creatives to sell their products (don’t worry, they are also serving a festive wrap for takeaway!).
While the region is in Tier 3 and throughout the festive period, the mini-Christmas market inside the Haggler’s Corner cafe will showcase some fab Sheffield makers including Orchis Plants, Pendulum jewellery, Wildwood Papers stationary, cool cross stich from Very Cross Stitch, pamper products by The Artisan Soap Shack and much, much more.
Bhaji Shop owner Matt Holdsworth said: “We thought it would be really nice to make a few little shops from local people and local makers. We’re not charging a commission because we can’t use the space at the moment anyway, so it just seems silly to have the cafe empty for the next while.
“I really wanted it to feel a little bit like it was December. I just feel determined to crack on, so we’ve transformed it into a mini-Christmas market and trimmed it all up, just to try and make it feel a little bit festive inside.
“Now, when you come into get your take away, you can have a look around at the great makers we’ve got on show as well.”
Why not head down to Hagglers, have a nosey around the festive treats, and treat yourself to a festive wrap from the Bhaji Shop while you’re at it.
